Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day is hard being three states away from my own mother. I still send a card and give her a call, but it's just not quite the same as being there with her. I just hope she knows how much I love her and how much her support means to me. She is one of the greatest people I know, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her. She's so beautiful and talented. I received my talents from her and every time I sing a song I think about how grateful I am for that. She makes me laugh because she hardly ever has her cell phone with her, she can never find her glasses or her keys, and she says the funniest things sometimes, but she has such a kind heart. She has helped me become the person that I am today, shaping me into a strong young woman with a strong will of my own. She gave me a beautiful name, a voice, and a big heart. I sure hope she doesn't go anywhere, because I'd be lost without her.
