"We actually got up today! I got up, and curled my hair! We finally got the curling iron to work! Anyways, we left at 9:45 and took the subway 7 stops to Tower Hill. There, we went to the Tower of London. It was pretty cool! We first walked in and saw a man giving a tour. Joe said he wanted to go with him, Mom, and Dad wanted to go on an audio tour, and Katie and I just wanted to look around for ourselves. We finally began to follow this tour guide. He was actually really good! He was funny, and interesting. After he finished, Dad tipped him like, £10! (£ means pounds) We saw the Crown Jewels! They were so beautiful. We saw the biggest diamond in the world! It was called the First Star of Africa. It was so beautiful We also went to the Bloody Tower. I was expecting torture devices and such, but there was nothing of the sort. After leaving the Tower of London we came home and veged. Our bed time here is around 11. My intentions are to get to bed around 8 but it never happens."
I brought a curling iron with me on trip, and I tried using it with our little converter plug in every single place we stayed, and I think I only got it to work three times the entire trip. I never should have brought it. It was so stupid to lug that thing around thinking it was going to work. It was old anyway.
I vaguely remember the Tower of London. I really do only remember the Crown Jewels and the Bloody Tower....Oh, and also that the castle itself was ENORMOUS! But I did get this awesome postcard!
Behold! The Crown Jewels!
