Blast from the Past: July 24th 2000

July 24th 2000

"Today we decided to see the British Museum. The only cool things were the Rosetta Stone, and two well preserved men found. This first guy was all there. Even hair and his ear! It was really amazing how they could preserve them for so long! Then the Rosetta Stone wasn't much, but it was cool looking. Then the second guy was horribly sacrificed. I can't remember what they did to him, but he wasn't all there. But he was pretty cool looking. I got (at the gift shop) a very teeny calendar, and a pure white chocolate bar. The chocolate was delicious. Also, we went to the museum with Alexis and Olivia's old Nanny. She reminds me of someone but I can't remember who. Oh well. After the museum, Carl, Alexis, and Joe went to Oxford to look for some shoes for Alexis, and me, Katie, Olivia, Mom, and Dad came home. Alexis did get a good, cool pair of shoes. There were bright blue sneakers. Then, Alexis and I played 500 until dinner, which Vivian (the nanny) joined us for."

This makes me laugh. The ONLY cool things at the British Museum were the Rosetta Stone and two decomposing men? Seriously self? The British Museum was AWESOME! We saw so many cool things there, I would sell my soul to go back again. We saw all sorts of awesome paintings and artifacts, we saw Cleopatra's sarcophagus, and tiny little sarcophaguses for bugs, cats, and other animals. SO MANY COOL THINGS and I am a moron. Joe took his sketch book and was drawing in one of the rooms on a bench, and a bunch of Asian people crowded around him to watch him draw. It was a really cool moment. They were so interested in him and his artwork. No. The British Museum was so awesome, I can't believe I thought the only cool things were dead men.
