"Today is Shanna's birthday, but I'm glad I called her last night because now she's at her dad's.
Today we split. Mom, Katie and I went to shop while Joe and Dad went off somewhere, then Uncle Carl, Alexis, and Olivia went somewhere else. Katie wanted to find more beanie babies, so we went to Harrods! It was so freaken nice! It was huge! And on the front it said, "No shorts, tank tops, dogs, bags must be held by hand"! I couldn't believe it! But when we walked in those rules weren't in action anymore, so that was good. We walked through the kitchenware, bridal department, pet shop (They had a parrot that looked like a big shrimp with a beak) and toys. My favorite was the the Egyptian escalators. They were really neat. We got some blowpens, and I got some stationary cards. It was pretty fun! By the way, Joe told me he's not going on a mission. He swears, and he's not going to be a Mormon when he grows up, and that he's rebelling. I said I didn't care, but I'm worried. I hope he will think harder about it. I am really scared. I don't want him to leave."
Harrods was a pretty jammin' place. I don't really remember the parrot that looked like a big shrimp, but just the fact that this department store had a pet shop was enough for me. And we bought blowpens and stationary because it's all we could afford. Harrods was expensive!
I remember this conversation with my brother, Joe. It did scare me. I couldn't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to be Mormon.
